Entropy does not nag.
It is insistent—yes—and tireless,
gracious, deferential,
humble as a mature thing
that always ultimately wins.
It concedes any contest,
for each uncontested turn devolves
to it,
and our greatest focus can contest
but a fraction.
We fumble and snatch.
It drifts and sweeps.
Entropy has numberless digits
and no need for eyes.
